here’s some pictures of a scarf i started over the summer.  though i have no actual pattern for it (the woman at the shop told me how to make it, it was a sample for the yarn), i’ve dubbed it the The Yarn Shop scarf, after the name of the LYS :)

the picture is kinda funky, sorry (my camera is kinda sucky).  the white yarn is aplaca, and the pink/orange/green is novelty acrylic.  i’m leaving for Disney World with band on saturday, and i’ll be gone until the 2nd, and i’m bringing this scarf as my project for the 30-hour bus ride lol hopefully i’ll get it finished, cus i actually wanna wear it before scarf-season is over, believe it or not lol.

putting the knitting aside, my family is in town for Christmas :) so i spent the day with them.  and tomorrow we’re probably going to go see a movie, or something and then i have tomorrow night to pack for disney.  i’m not really that excited for the trip though, because it just takes up a week in my vacation, and my best friend isn’t going (he’s in the other Disney in California for the Rose Bowl Parade– it’s the America’s Honors Marching Band (thingy) that he got into last year.  it’s a huge honor, they only take 300 highschool (and maybe college) kids and he made it in) and my other friendships have kind of gone to crap.  plus i’m not really a fan of disney, honestly.  i know, i’m probably a terrible American for admitting that, but oh well lol.  and i have to say goodbye to my new tablet :(  just a triple slam of suck-o dealing with Disney.
but oh well, i’ll make memories so it should be fun.  speaking of, i’ve got some stuff to get together so Ciao!
