cheerleading has ended for this year, Thoroughly Modern Millie was last week (we rocked it, amazingly) and my school activities for this year (accept for student government) are finished.
meaning a few important things: (1) i can now get more than 5 hours a sleep a night, (2) i can actually get some knitting done and (3) i can go back to updating my blog, which i basically forgot that i had up until about three days ago (whoops).
Thoroughly Modern Millie: the show went great, it was amazingly casted (for the most part, cough) and we did really well. i enjoyed my second named part ever, Gloria. i played a chain-smoking modern who lives in the same hotel as the lead of the show, Millie. i litterally talked exactly like Roz from Monsters Inc. =D i was also the understudy for Muzzy, the third biggest female lead in the show. the character is a famous jazz singer and because the girl who actually played her had a hard time coming to rehearals (AHEM!) i got to go on for her many times in rehearsal, including singing both of Muzzy’s songs (two huge solos), which i loved =D
cheerleading: i finished out the season, kind of (cus of a health-issue i bowed out of the last two games, partly because i didnt feel well, partially because i couldnt stand being there anymore) and now i’m not so sure i want to try out for next year. it’ll be my senior year, so i basically feel like i have to, but i aboslutely do not want to deal with being the loser outside loner this season again, because i’m in Theater and Band, and all the other girls go and get drunk and party with eachother on the weekends. soo try outs are in two weeks, and i’m contemplating if i’m going to go or not.
but oh well.
okay so i just started Lunch Box with my leftover Elann Peruvian Highland Wool from my disaster of a felted bag, and my attempt at a sweater. i was getting restless just making my own pattern of toys and cell phone/ipod/camera cases, so i thought about something felted. plus i’m sure i’ll be more inclined to take my lunch to school if i could show off something i made :)
OH! i also finished the Obsession Bag, of my own design. the pictures are bad, but oh well:

i’m proud of it, accept for the flap and the buttons. i forgot to anticipate that the bag would need to close somehow, and that i might’ve wanted to leave a few rows of blank white before i started the letter pattern, so this flap was the only thing i could think of. the buttons are also temperary, as i was so excited to be finished i just tossed on some random ones i could find, but as soon as i get the money i plan on getting some sparkly glitter ones! lol.
–speaking of money, i just applied at Cold Stone! my friend works there, and they have two sudden openings so i applied on monday. i’m just awaiting my call to know if i got it or not, but my friend says that he put in a good word for me and the manager seems really interested. i’m hoping i’ll know soon though :) but think of it, i could be rich soon :)
dare to dream, huh?
