Bri is my little girl...I just want to thsnk you for your support snd for letting the world know of this horrible tragedy. Bri is still fighting for her life and in surgery now. Please continue to keep her in your thoughts, but especially the Browns. They have suffered a loss like I cannot imagine. We miss Cody so much and this Christmas I pray the Brown family has peace knowing Cody is still with Bri.
Love

yeah, power to the Fun-lovers! :)
and i totally agree about the whole frustrating when it's new knitting with Funfur thing, i made this scarf that i threw away a few years ago because it was so ugly, with all the dropped stitches, it wasn't a straight scarf, it was curvy and uneven and just ugly lol. but that aside, Fun fur totally rules lol. i'm glad to have someone on my side :)

Aww I felt bad for the poor fun fur scarves in that thread too (which, fun fur bashing aside, must be the funniest thread of all time I think!)

My mum, who has been knitting for 40-some years and is a damned fine knitter, made me a selection of fun fur scarves before I started knitting myself. I also get loads of compliments on them. I loved them then and I love them now. They're FUN! Although, trying one as my first project put me off actually knitting with that stuff for life. When you drop every other stitch, but can't see it among all the fluff, and wouldn't know how to pick it up even if you could see it... definitely Unfun Fur.
Luckily my skills have improved since then!

Wear your furry scarf with pride! Mine are looking forward to winter! ;)

I totally understand the vicious circle. I get stressed about stuff and put it on the back burner until I basically can't avoid it anymore. lol Only the REALLY important stuff, mind you!

I became obsessed about picking a college when it came time for me to transfer. I went on a ton of college campus visits, met with all the financial aid advisers and all the good things you're supposed to do. I wound up choosing Hollins University, about 45 minutes from where I live. I'm starting in the fall and am SO stoked!!

I think a 17 year old would like getting a fuzzy purple scarf! She can wear it for a costume if nothing else. ;)

And have you tried weighing your yarn on a little kitchen scale? cut off like 10 yards or something (like what you would use for a swatch). Measure that on the scale and you will know, for example, that 10 yards = .13 ounces. then you can weigh your skein, divide by .13 and times by 10! TA DA!
(I just made this up right now. I hope it works! LOL It SEEMS like it should, right??)

It's so funny how some of the easiest-looking patterns come with the most kinks. The scarf is looking very pretty!
